Now that JB is collaborating with Kanye West and Raekwon, does he have a future in the hip-hop community, or should he stick to pop/R&B hybrid he’s made his own? A magazine editor, record label exec and a musician weigh in!

Little Justin Bieber is about to play with the big boys! Now that the teen singing sensation is collaborating with hip-hop heavyweights Kanye West and the Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon, we had to ask the question: does the Biebster have a future in the HH industry, or should he stick to the genre he knows best?

“He can’t really become the next big hip-hop artist, but as he does more stuff with Kanye and Raekwon there could be a chance that hip-hop can front him even more. It won’t come off as posture,” Jermaine Hall, the editor-in-chief of Vibe magazine, tells HollywoodLife.com. “You can tell he grew up listening to the genre, so it doesn’t come off as false. But will he be as big as Kanye or Jay-Z in this game? Probably not.”

If Justin, 16, DOES want to become a big star in the hip-hop community, Hall does think he’s surrounding himself with the perfect people. “He’s definitely picking the right people! Raekwon is a great pick as is Kanye. If he’s able to ever get Jay-Z to co-sign, I think that would be the ultimate get for him. So far the people he’s hand-picking to collaborate with are on point.” He adds, “As Justin gets older he should graduate to a more Justin Timberlake kind of lane – he should strive to be the next JT, not the next Jay-Z.”

Agrees Jeff Sledge, the VP of A&R for Battery/Jive Records, “I don’t think I’d ever call him a hip-hop artist, but he IS a young kid that’s grown up in a hip-hop world. Will he ever be a hip-hop artist in a convential way? No. He’s a white kid from Canada, but he does [have credibility in that world because] he hangs out with Diddy, Jay-Z and Beyonce….he’s even been on BET.”

Sledge says that Justin definitely shouldn’t try to deviate from the musical path he’s on – he’s good at what he does, he’s found his niche and should stick with it! “He shouldn’t be striving to make himself the next JT or Usher. His path is different. The world is different now than when those guys came up. Hip-hop is part of his life.”

Even Raekwon himself has said that instead of going more hip-hop, he and Kanye are going to move towards JB’s brand of pop. “Yeezy called me and we gon’ make it pop,” he said. “At the end of the day we’re all doing our thing in the game and for them to even just have a conversation and just put my name in it, it feels good. It feels good to respect what I do and I respect what they do. And we gon’ make a hit. Justin got his own fanbase and me and Yeezy got our own fanbase and we gon’ make it happen. We gon’ make a good record.”

Staying true to himself is a good thing, according to rocker Tara Ellis, who tells us, “I don’t think Justin could fit that mold but at the same time, Kanye has blurred the lines on what an artist can be and do, so Justin is certainly in good company if he happens to take on that challenge. But let’s be honest – Justin Bieber should remain in the spotlight of what comes naturally to him.”

Justin Bieber Cancelled his show!! :O

The seemingly indestructible Bieber canceled a show scheduled for tonight at the New York State Fair in glorious Syracuse, NY. He will instead perform Wednesday night.

A statement of the Fair's website reads, "Due to an illness and under doctor's orders, Justin Bieber has been forced to re-schedule his Sunday, Aug. 29 concert at the New York State Fair to Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 7 pm."

Bieber alluded to the illness on his Twitter page yesterday, writing, "Been super sick lately but u guys are carrying me. thank u for the love."

Oh, "Baby"! Justin Bieber will be performing at the first ever Nickelodeon Mega Music Fest!

Justin will sing "Baby" along with the Fresh Beat Band during the hour-long prime-time concert special. Other performances include Colbie Caillat with Kai-lan, The Roots with Yo Gabba Gabba!, and Wyclef Jean with Dora the Explorer.

The Nickelodeon Mega Music Fest will premiere on Labor Day, Monday, September 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.

British radio DJ Scott Mills has offered his apology regarding his "brat" comment about pop sensation Justin Bieber. The 36-year-old has made use of his Twitter account to say, "I may have called Justin bieber a brat in today's metro! Just my experience of him,sorry.." On what prompted him to do so, he pointed out in the tweet, "Getting few angry messages!"

Scott has called Justin "a precocious little brat" when asked by Metro who is the rudest celebrity he has met. After branding Pamela Anderson as "a whirlwind of nonsense" for not answering any questions and throwing a piece of paper at him, he added in his response to the question, "Justin Bieber isn't the friendliest either. Seriously, someone needs to have a word with him."

This isn't the first time Justin has been accused of being rude. Back in May, Sunrise co-host David Koch said that the "Baby" hitmaker needed "a slap" after throwing tantrum at production staff. "Our floor manager was directing him to where he was about to perform and he turned around to [the floor manager] Nick and said: 'Don't ever f****** touch me again'," he recalled the incident.

Being popular among teen girls doesn't mean that Justin Bieber can escape having awkward kissing moment. In a recent interview for BOP and Tiger Beat, the Canadian singer who made his big break with single "One Time" talked about his most awkward moment kissing a girl and revealed how he dealt with it.

Recalling about the experience, the 16-year-old said that the inconvenience was caused by the girl he was kissing since she was "like going way to fast". Asked how he handled the situation, the pop star admitted that he stopped kissing and slowed down the momentum a little bit. Later on, he gave his advice on what to do when having awkward kissing moment.

Awkward kiss aside, Justin has recently taken it to his Twitter account to assure fans he will perform at New York City's Madison Square on August 31 despite problems with his throat. After entertaining his fans in Albany, New York on August 25, he tweeted, "doc agrees...im gonna be good...just need to chill...but no worries...THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!"

Kim Kardashian is about to upset Justin Bieber's fans once again by claiming that if he was legal, she would consider dating him.

The 29-year old socialite, who has been linked with Justin in the past, revealed in an interview that despite claiming to be just friends with the 16-year old she would date him if he was older.

When asked about Biebs, Kardashian told George Lopez: "Would I date him? If he was of legal age. He definitely has this swag to him."

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star has also defended The Graduate style photoshoot she did with Bieber in the Bahamas for Elle Magazine, claiming it was just a bit of fun.

Kim stated: "The shoot was fun, we had a good time. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on it, but we were just having a good time... Everyone has loved it... It was all in fun."

The former Playboy model was criticised in the US for the shoot with Bieber, which saw Kim and Justin frolicking on a beach together with some reports claiming it was inappropriate because of the age gap between the pair.

Justin Bieber reportedly caused havoc when filming his cameo for CSI after he was caught miming his co-star's lines and ruining their scenes.

The Somebody To Love singer, who stars as troubled teen Jason McCann in the US crime series has reportedly cost the show a small fortune after his scenes needed to be reshot every time he lip-synced his fellow actors words…on camera.

A source told the National Enquirer: "It's good Justin's got everyone's lines memorised so he knows where he's at in the scene, but the camera keeps catching him lip-synching when the other actors speak. It's hilarious - but damned expensive!"

Justin, who was only meant to feature in the season premiere of the show will now be a regular fixture on the CSI set after bosses decided to make his role permanent through the series.

A spokesperson for the show recently stated: "He will play a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother - a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs."

They added: "It is the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season."

Justin Bieber's Twitter Hacker Demands an Apology

Kevin Kristopik, the guy whose phone number Justin Bieber posted on his Twitter pretending it was his as payback for Kevin hacking into Justin's friend Ryan Butler's Twitter, is demanding that the popstar apologizes.

"I am sorry for meddling into your life," Kevin tells Justin. "But I think you owe me an apology, too."

Kevin also says that he has learned that "once you put something on the Internet, it is almost impossible to get it off." And Kevin's mom Kathy says that she thinks Justin's prank was too harsh. "Kevin was just hoping that Justin Bieber would text him back," she says.

Valentine's Day weekend won't just be lovers in 2011. Devoted Beliebers are counting down to the moment they can check out Justin Bieber's 3-D movie. Director Jon Chu promises fans will get an in-depth look at what it's like to be the VMA-nominated singer.

"Well, we're working on it right now. We've been touring with him, so we've been working on it," Chu ("Step Up 3D") told MTV News about the project. "The movie comes out in five months, so we're deep in it. It's been fun to get to know Justin. He's a really cool guy and we're gonna make a really fun movie."

Those who have yet to be infected with Bieber Fever should take note: This movie is for fans and non-fans alike, according to Chu.

"[It's] a movie for his fans, a movie for people who don't know him, and we're gonna tell the underdog story of where he came from," he explained. "Because it's a really fascinating story and it has a lot to do with our sort of digital lifestyle now. He was able to do what corporations try to do now when they use YouTube and they don't even know what to do with it yet. It's a pretty cool story for our time."

As for the film's format, Chu explained that it will be a mixture of concert footage and some documentary-style scenes. "There's not going to be acted-out scenes and I can't talk about the rest. It's not your typical concert film and it's not going to be a biopic ... but it is about his life. I think it's more of a documentary. We're going to figure it out as we go," he said. As for how much of it will be in 3-D, he said, "You'll have to see it. We're figuring that out now."

Chu had more praise for Bieber, telling us the singer has real staying power, as evidenced by artists like Kanye West seeking him out for collaborations.

"He ... isn't a flash in the pan," Chu said. "He has legitimate talent and I think other artists recognize that."

Teen star Justin Bieber enjoys being chased by girls.

The singer features in a promo for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), where he is seen sprinting away from female fans.

Bieber told MTV News: 'I'm kind of like The Beatles running, and there is girls chasing after me.'
And having girls tailing after him is all in a days work for the 16 year old.

He said: 'Everything's been going pretty smooth. I like girls chasing me, so it's good.'

Justin added that he would most like to see megastar Beyoncé, 28, take to the stage at the awards ceremony this year.

The Canadian pop star added: 'I'd love to see Beyoncé perform - because she's so hot.'

This year's MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles on September 12.

Bieber asked Beckham for football lessons!

JUSTIN Bieber wants David Beckham to give him soccer lessons.

The 16-year-old singer has offered the sportsman — who has sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, five, with wife Victoria Beckham — a private concert in exchange for some tuition in ball control.

“I am sure he would do anything to make his three boys happy and if I am their favorite artist I would happily come and put on a private show at the Beckham household,” he said.

“All I would ask for in return is that we go into his yard for an hour afterward and he teaches me all those crazy things he can do with a soccer ball.”

As well as seeking guidance from David, Justin — who is mentored by Usher – recently revealed he would like lessons in love from Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry.

“Maybe they could coach me and tell me how to work out which girls are the good ones,” he said.

“That would be pretty awesome. I would like to invite the two of them out for dinner so they can tell me the best way to win a woman like them.”

Raekwon Confirms Collabo With Kanye West & Justin Bieber

Fans can thank Twitter for bringing together the unlikely pairing of Kanye West, Justin Bieber and Raekwon.

It all started earlier this week when Ye and the Canadian pop singer went back and forth over the social networking site about how much they love each other’s music. Seemingly, out of nowhere, the Louis Vuitton Don asked Bieber if he would be interested in doing a song with him and the Wu-Tang spitter. “I’m honored that you like my Music @JustinBieber!!!” he wrote. “You gotta hear the album. Maybe we can do something together. Me, You and Raekwon.”

“Me, u, and the chef 2gether on a song = EPIC,” Bieber responded. “Might sound crazy 2 u but even having this convo is living the dream. Thanks.”

Well, XXLMag.com just got off the phone with Rae, and he says the song is already in the works. “It’s definitely gonna happen,” he said over the phone. “When you got these kinda talents merging together to do something exciting, I think it’s something that’s gonna make the fans check it out. I’m big fans of both of these guys. I think, at the end of the day, shorty is a sensation. And [for him] to acknowledge me it makes me feel good that the young generation is checkin’ me out like that. And at the same time it gives me a position to play a big brother in the game. He wants my assistance or whatever he can get it. I respect him, I like his style.”

Justin Bieber Tweets Enemy’s Phone Number To 4.5 Million Followers

On Saturday night, a tweet appeared then quickly vanished on Justin Bieber’s verified Twitter account: “everyone call me 248-XXX-XXXX :) or text”. The number belonged to a teen in Detroit, and Justin apparently tweeted it out of revenge.

Saturday night around midnight, Justin tweeted this:

A few minutes later, the tweet disappeared. But not before thousands – if not hundreds of thousands – of Justin’s followers retweeted it with expressions of astonishment. Was that actually Justin’s number!?

The number actually belongs to a Detroit teenager named Kevin Kristopik. About 1am on Sunday morning Kristopik tweeted “Thanks for giving out my # @justinbieber.” Two hours and over 10,000 text messages later, he posted this video to YouTube of his phone blowing up with calls and texts from Bieber fans:



We called one of the numbers visible in the video, and the girl who answered confirmed she called the number at around midnight last night. “I thought it was some kind of prank number,” she said. “I didn’t think Justin Bieber would be stupid enough to post his own number.”

It’s unclear exactly what Kristopik did that caused Justin Bieber to sic the equivalent of Boston’s population on him. But it appears it was payback for Kristopik hacking the Twitter account of a childhood friend of Justin’s named Ryan Butler and using it to get Justin’s phone number. On July 27, Kristopik tweeted“im the one who hacked ryan and got justins #.” When asked him today on Twitter, “You hacked ryan, and now jb wants payback so he tweeted your number?” Kristopik repied, “Kinda.”

Of course, it’s possible that Justin’s own account account was hacked. But since last night, he’s made no mention of it and has been blithely tweeting stuff about hanging out with Kanye West all morning. We’ve been trying to reach Kristopik all afternoon, but calling his number brings up only an automated message: “The mailbox belonging to [redacted] is full and cannot accept new messages at this time.”

Justin Bieber posted a Detroit teenager's phone number to his 4.5 million followers on Twitter in an act of revenge, Gawker reported Sunday.

The tweet, which Bieber posted around midnight Saturday, read, "Everyone call me 248-XXX-XXXX :) or text." The phone number was not Bieber's but the cell phone of Detroit-area teenager Kevin Kristopik.

Bieber was reportedly angry at Kristopik for hacking the Twitter account of one of Bieber's friends and using it to get the star's phone number. Kristopik admitted the hacking, writing, "im the one who hacked ryan and got justins #" on July 27.

Bieber deleted the tweet a few minutes later, but the damage had already been done: Thousands of Bieber's followers retweeted the message, and Kristopik received countless phone calls and more than 10,000 text messages. Shortly after 1:00am, Kristopik tweeted, "Thanks for giving out my #@justinbieber."

Kristopik posted video online of his phone receiving a stream of calls and text messages.Gawker attempted to contact Kristopik for comment, but his voice mailbox was full.
